This will be our premiere release, an anthology chapbook of 4-6 epic fantasy tales. We are looking at a tentative March 15th 2005 release and will be reading stories (2,500 - 7,500 words) NOW until January 1st 2005 (or when we are satisfied with our tales, so get them in early!). Our theme for our first issue is Reluctant Hero.

PLEASE NOTE! Submissions over or under the word counts noted above will be returned unread. We are receiving too many tales in either the 9,000+ range or short shorts in the 1,500 - 2,000 word range.

We are also NOT looking for stories with Elves, Dwarves, Wizards, Orcs and Dragons! The first batch of stories that were sent had an inordinate amount of Dungeons & Dragons cliche' storylines or time travel stories where people go back to the Middle Ages or to an alternate reality. Sorry, we're not interested in that type of story. We are looking for pulp fantasy tales like Conan the Barbarian as the best example. something original without being "cute" and having space aliens come down and mess with the barbarians.
